Geologists 
The field trip for unit Geol ogy project Chiloé C hi what é: M iddle Environment and Culture was performed on days 27 and 28 to gosto, by the PhD-G Eólogo National Service of Geology and Mining, Jorge Muñoz , who along with anthropologists Monica Adle r i and Veronica Aguila, plus four teachers from the School Sun the Pacific , moved and guided the children in two areas of the town of Ancud . The first area visited by students 5th and 6th dules ico, is located northeast of the town of Ancud in Polocué sector, near the beach Ma r Brava.

In both places, children notebooks equipped with field and working guidelines, r and ran place watching the coast of the geological environment. Then, the geologist in charge of the activity, presented and how to use ar instruments used in the field : altimeter, compass, GPS, magnifying glass, map, hammer and note pad . With these, the Niñ I had to carry out their activities, separated into groups and write

With this activity the children watched from another p erspectiv to their environment, analyzing the geological formations of the area where they live, also knew on the various uses of some us Caucagua materials like , sedimentary rock, used in furnaces and crafts.
Also, work with instruments allowed to Ocero d and about how to investigate the geology and ace rcarse to other ways of doing science.
