On Wednesday 20 June was the talk for teachers: Chiloé Geology, geologist issued by the National Service of Geology and Mining (SERNAGEOMIN) Jorge Muñoz. The House of Culture of Ancud, where the activity took place, attended by teachers from different educational institutions in the community, academics and other professionals interested in the geology of the island.
The main content of the talk was the explanation of the geological formation of Chiloé, passing through all periods to reach its current status.
Talk to teachers, Geology of Chiloé, was aimed at spreading among teachers of educational institutions of Ancud, the contents that are addressed in the project, with the aim that they can know for dissemination to their students.
addition, and complementing the discussion, between 19 and 29 June, the Regional Museum of Ancud next to SERNAGEOMIN , mounted the exhibit: Geology of Chiloé, in the which was shown samples of various geological Chiloé and informational posters on the subject. The exhibition, also held in the premises of the House of Culture, attended by about 400 students from various educational institutions of primary and secondary Ancud, such as adjacent school, Colegio San Andres Colegio Seminario Conciliar, College Immaculate Concepcion and the general public.
Through these activities it is intended that the contents of the draft also are available to the public no beneficiary of the project, thus achieving a greater impact on the population ancuditana.
